A Little About Us

Mary McFadyen is one of the 22 Reiki Masters who were initiated by Mrs. Takata and has dedicated her life to Reiki. Mary teaches extensively in the U.S. and Europe and founded R.O.I. in 1990. In her classes, Mary emphasizes the spiritual aspects of Reiki, in addition to the principles behind illness and healing. Mary has recently published a Reiki book in Germany, and is negotiating for an English language version.

Ann Thevenin was initiated as a Reiki Master by Mary McFadyen and is based in San Diego, California, from where she now takes care of the daily needs of R.O.I. Ann is also a dedicated healer who rounds out her background in the mind-body connection by being a therapist, a teacher, and the director of the Foundation for Neurosomatic Sciences.
