Feel the full power of Traditional Reiki!
Have you ever felt or been told you have a healing touch? Have you wondered what it would be like to access your spiritual connection easily whenever you feel the desire for it? Reiki is a system to instantly connect into healing from your heart. Reiki is the oldest form of healing touch used today in hospitals, hospices, and homes.
In a blending of Eastern and Western philosophies, Reiki was given to a Christian minister in Japan through a vision from God which he received while in meditation on a holy mountain. Dr. Mikao Usui called his vison "Reiki"- spirit energy- and created healing clinics in Japan in the nineteenth century.
Like Western systems of therapeutic touch, Reiki works with the subtle energy fields of the body, which in the East is called ki, chi, or prana. As an Eastern system, there is a spiritual component to Reiki. Reiki emphasizes an interconnection to each other and the universe. A qualified master who has been trained in the traditional Eastern style transmits Reiki to the student. A Reiki practitioner, unlike practitioners of Western systems of therapeutic touch, doesn't have to be in a meditative or altered state in order to begin to use Reiki. One only has to lay hands on for the energy to flow. Most people experience Reiki as warmth from the hands of the Reiki practitioner, as well as a deep sense of relaxation that comes over them when Reiki is used. This profound relaxation promotes healing.
Reiki has a great appeal for several reasons. Reiki works on pets, plants and people- through clothing, casts, and bandages. It can be used anywhere at any time, as there is no equipment necessary. It is non-invasive. It does not interfere with pharmaceutical or other treatments. It can be used either with the hands on the person or slightly above the person being treated. It enhances healing on many levels-physical, mental, and emotional.
There are many benefits of Reiki to the practitioner. Working with Reiki helps the practitioner get in touch with him or herself on a deep, inner level. A Reiki workshop helps a person develop his or her own intuitive faculties. A person trained in Reiki becomes more centered, balanced, and grounded. This, in turn, helps him or her to connect more fully with life and progress along their life path more effectively. The Reiki practitioner also develops a deeper contact with his or her own higher, spiritual nature.
